Where to start...

After a fantastic Fishers 5 session, I'm realy getting hyped about writing my next novel. The meeting itself was great! Lots of comments, and better yet, a little time to sit around and chew the fat with other writers (I had been getting a tad starved of this over the past few weeks). Afterward, Lisa Silverthorne and I went to dinner and essentially conned each other into taking the "Novel Dare" together. After two days of letting this idea stew in my veins, I think I've got the basic elements of the novel I want to write bubbling up, and I'm actually getting antsy to start!

I just LOVE it when I feel like writing.

In addition, I received a note from Dragon today. Good news, though...I recently returned page proofs requesting (as kindly as I could) several changes. It seems they had set my story from a slightly out of date file I e-mailed them before the holidays. I was worried that since they were so close to their publication date, and that the changes were somewhat severe, they might note be able to include them all. My concern was all for naught, though, as Lizz Baldwin (their EA) said they should be able to accomodate the requests with little problem.

The astute of you will notice the Submit-o-meter has risen a notch, though. I received a rejection today from The Silver Web (15 days) on a story entitled "To Touch Like Gods".
