Moved through chapter 10. I'm beginning to search for a new working title for the story now. I've never really liked Gene Splice, but it's worked for now. But I feel like there should be something bigger here. I'll let it stew for awhile longer. Perhaps I shouldn't worry about it, as I understand that a publisher will want to change it anyway. Always the optimist, eh? Chapter 11 is a huge chunk of work, and a very emotional section of the text. I've fingered my way through it and was surprised at the feelings it stirred within me. How, I wonder to myself, did that ever come from my fingers/brain? No rejections in several days. I wonder if everyone is just getting ready for the pre-worldcon blitz.
