13 Days until Dare II

I finally made it back to "Whispers in the Darkness". This has been a particularly difficult story to write for me due to the nature of the world it lives in. I won't say a whole lot more about it because Lisa looks into this place, and she's going to be reading it soon. Don't want to give away too much.

I'm happy with it for now, though. I thank the Fishers 5 for their comments. I knew what I wanted when I sat down to write it, and I was that close. Consider it a case of being too near the trees to see the forest.

Even better, I also managed to complete another pass at "Riding the Wire", a strange SF tale about an experimental multi-dimensional faster than light travel project. It's set in the "Things to Do" bin for months. I think it's ready now. Actually, the wait probably helped me. Given the distance in time, the major flaw in the story just lept out at me.

In between this, I managed to beat Brigid in a game of Yahtzee. (Lisa is a working woman this weekend, having accepted a 400+ page manuscript from F&W Books recently).

It's Mike Resnick at his best.

Well, see ya later. I've got to go mow the grass.
