Well, that didn't take very long. I recieved 3 rejections in the mail today. At this rate, I'll end the year out with 547-and-a-half (don't forget that half, either). Hey ... nowhere to go but up, right? On a better note, I've gone back through "Whispers in the Darkness" and managed to get it down to short story length (barely). The bad news is that I have four places I intend to look at to determine if they need more work. I can only assume they will--intuition being what it is. So, I expect I'll be back on the "Let's shorten this thing" bandwagon again soon. There's a little more brewing on the positive front, but I'll wait to post it until things progress a little further!
