I've had a terrible headcold the last couple days, and it's not getting much better. Hope you're bearing with me . . . don't get too close!

Needless to say, I haven't been feeling too creative and my writing has suffered.

Between small naps and trips to medicine cabinet, I did manage to critique all the stories the Fishers 5 submitted for this week's session (aren't they lucky--critiques under the influence of pseudophed and ibuprofen). I also finished Nicola Griffith's Slow River, which I thought was really good. There are a few rushed plot points here and there that she glosses over, but her characterization and description are beautiful. They alone make this book worth reading.

I'm starting to reread Steven Hawking's A Brief history of Time. I always find Hawking's writing fascinating.

I've also had a few rejections, and updated the Accept-O-Matic.

Hope this cold thing moves along soon.
