Good - Bad - Ugly

 Well, let's see ... I'm in one of those "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" moments. On the good side, I finally managed to finish the concept and basic plot for the short story I owe Mike. I'll skim it once more and send it away tomorrow morning. The bad is that I received a note back from Freezer Burn yesterday. So ring the Accept-O-matic up another notch. The ugly is that I have another writing assignment. You see, the company is having a Quality Day--one of those all-day deals where everyone get's to drink coffee and hear about the company's great new initiatives to make our customer's lives easier. This is all good and well. Hey, I'm a company-type guy. But it turns out that my boss's boss decided it might be a good idea to have a short presentation before the whole deal (actually, someone planted the idea, I think). He looked around and said something like, "Hey, we've got a published author in our midst, we'll get him to write it." Quality Day is February 23rd.
