I'm working on a rewrite of a short novelette that I had originally written with Martin Crumpton. It was something over 9,000 words, and the publication said they thought it really needed to be longer. All-in-all, not a terrible situation, I suppose.

Martin rewrote the piece and sent it to me a few days ago. He had made a few major changes that I really liked (he plots stories much more differently than I do, so he often surprises me, which is good). His changes took the story up to nearly 11,000 words, and I'm building on top of those. It's got a long way to go, but I have to admit that I like where it's going right now.

Anyway, back to the salt mines.

     Have a great day.
