Finished the rewrite of "Well of Waiting Souls". It closes out at a shade over 14,000 words, easily ranking as the longest story I've told (outside of the novels, of course). I have to agree, it feels a lot more comfortable at this length, so we'll see what happens.

I just shipped it off to Martin a minute ago, and expect him to whack at it once again fairly soon.

Now I turn myself to a few other things that I've let slip whil I worked on this. In particular, I've got to get eight or ten stories back out onto the market. And I've got two or three more stories to write after last weekend's Plotfest '98. And I've got a couple critiques to work on.

No rest for the wicked, eh?
