I received the copy edited manuscript for "The Disappearance of Josie Andrew", the story that will be in this year's L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future, and was pleased to see how little they had to do to it.

I've been working at a story I wrote during "PlotFest 98". It's a hard science fiction/adventure story set on Europa, and it has me a little intimidated at the detailed level. You know how it is. I've spent roughly three hours on the internet scoping out a number of really useful space and astronomy sights, and I think I know enough to write the piece. But still . . . maybe I could just check out one more site? Or maybe I should just go to the library (note, in the area of exploratory science, the Columus library is nowhere near on the cutting edge as the internet .)

Or maybe I should just plant my butt in a chair and start writing.

Now there's a thought.
