My parents came into town yesterday and we went to see Brigid's school performance. It was, of course, wonderful.

Had to throw that in there!

In the past couple days, I've finished my first SF Central Project column, developed a second draft of the Europa story (now titled "Was Blind but Now I See"), and received the galleys to my story "Ties that Bind" that is due to run in the next issue of Adventures of Sword and Sorcery.

Finishing the second draft of "Was Blind ..." has resulted in me realizing I need a third draft--but that's not a terrible thing here. I'm really enjoying writing it right now. I find myself fantasizing about being on the surface of Europa, and I like the idea of lingering a little.
