Spent most of the weekend in Louisville with the parental units, so I got very little writing accomplished. We also stayed up late watching the Pacers get beaten by the Bulls. Between the late hour to bed and the cat waking me up, and Brigid waking me up, I decided to sleep late this morning. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear you. Enough whining, now get down to work!

I did read a story in the last issue of Analog written by Bud Sparhawk that was set on Europa. I found it both fascinating and frustrating since I have a piece working that's set in the same place. It was fascinating to see how someone else approached it, and frustrating in that I hate to see a major publication come out with a "similar" story as mine as I feel that Analog will now be less inclined to look at another.

Oh well, personally, I think my work is a better story, anyway. So maybe that will work in my favor.

If not, there are other magazines in the sea, you know!

This isn't a particularly inspiring entry, is it? Somedays are like that, I guess. Hope you'll bear with me . . .

     Have a great day.
