The Europa story is now "complete". By that I mean the following:
1. The story hangs together in a consistent fashion. 2. The character is fleshed out. 3. I pretty much like it.

Finally.

I still have to find another title (my standard nemisis), and choose a different song to build the end around. And Lisa still needs to chop on it.

In other words, it's down to turn the crank and grind it out mode--which is always a bit easier than the "create and stich together" mode (but isn't quite as fun). After all this time, though, I'm glad to have that one "behind" me.

I've found that as I've become a "better writer", I'm working more slowly. Actually, I think it's because I've raised my standards a bit. Or maybe better put, I know when something's wrong even when I can't put my finger on what it is--and I'm not letting myself off the hook as easily as I once did. I go back to the well again and again until I'm happy with it. If I'm happy with the tale, my ego says, someone else will be, too.

I also finished my DHTML project for the class I was taking. I'll probably link to it here for a few days assuming people there think it's any good. By the way, those of you who use Netscape 4.x should be seeing a new little effect on the front page. The rest of you should be seeing a stable page. I'll be working to get IE 4 to do the effect here soon.

This course has certainly given me a healthy respect for "real" Web developers.

Well, gotta run. My employer awaits.

Have a great day.
