Well, no one claimed the 10,000th hit prize, so I'll make the same offer to the 11,000th visitor. E-mail me my front screen with the "11,000" visitor number (and your address), and I'll send you a copy of the issue of Adventures of Sword and Sorcery that includes my story "Ties that Bind".

That's assuming I get it sometime myself, okay? (In other words, I don't have my copies yet, but will make good on the offer as soon as I can!)

Spent much of the morning finishing a critique I owed someone. Due to a series of events across our membership, the Fishers 5 has pretty much slacked off for the past several months. In the interim, I've been sharing crits with Amy Casil (as I think I noted a few days ago) and Brian Plante (AnLab winner earlier this year) as well as Lisa Silverthorne. It's been a really good experience for me as I've learned quite a bit from their stories.

If you didn't notice, I'm big on learning by critique.

On the personal front, yesterday saw my first rejection in nearly a month, so I rang the "Accept-O-Matic" up another notch. Heck, after a silent month I was beginning to think the post office has been sending my manuscripts to the North Pole. You ever notice how Santa Claus never responds to your wish lists?

It's possible, right? [grin] Anyway, I've gotta run and get some stuff done. Have a good day.

Some things are scarier than words can describe.
