Airline tickets received. Computer situated (files transfered, e-mail connection tested), supplies arranged, bags packed (almost).

The flight leaves at 11:00 a.m. from Louisville, so I'll hop in the car here in another hour and a half to get down there. I'm excited. Or at least I'm getting there. Of course, it's not like I have that much to worry about. I mean, I'm just a measly finalist tagging along for the ride. It's not like I have to worry about winning anything, you know?

And it's not like it's Clarion or anything.

     Still ...

Gotta run and finish the morning. Will likely update when I get in this evening.

Plane pushes back from gate right on time.

I kid you not. Steak for lunch.

Flying over the Grand Canyon. Way cool. The trees line the upper ridge like a pine-colored billard cloth.

5:40 p.m.

     Made it.
