We went to Louisville for the weekend so that I could watch my beloved Louisville Cardinals play football. It was really a nice time, seeing Mom and Dad, and even watching the Cards win one. Of course it was made nicer by Friday afternoon's news that Mercedes Lackey had bought "A Gathering of Bones" for her Flights of Fantasy anthology. This is the one I had written with the intention of it being a collaboration with Laura Resnick, but that she later quite graciously suggested that I submit individually because she thought it was strong enough to sell pretty much as it was. Needless to say, I'm pleased she was correct. Received both contract and check in the mail, and dropped the signed contract back to Marty Greenberg on Friday night. So now all's left is the galley proofs and the book itself. Overall, the past two weeks have not been real crappy. [ grin ]  Daily Persistence is © Ron Collins |
