Definitely not feeling well today. But rather than tell you all about it, I'll just leave the pain and suffering to your imagination. Just think "stomach."

     The joys of e-mail.

I wrote recently about the fact that I hadn't read every story on the Nebula ballot--and I should have just held my tongue! Shortly thereafter, the e-mail bombardment began (not as a result of my discussion, BTW, but just as a natural happenstance of technology and timing).

Various individuals and publishers wide-banded queries as to whether I wanted copies of stories I may not have had a chance to see. Yeah, this is normal. And I don't have a problem with it. I said 'yes', and seemingly moments later I've got a dozen or so tales sitting in my in-box.

The publishing industry may be slow on the uptake of new technology. But once they absorb it, apparently, they really go all out.

Not that I'm complaining. I'm reading some great stories that I wouldn't have been able to read otherwise.

Which is also good because I don't seem to be able to concentrate for more than five or ten minutes before I have to get up and go to the "other" room.

Here I wasn't going to comment upon that. [grin]

     Have a great day, okay?
