Did I mention that Lisa was the Girl Scout "Cookie Mom" earlier? Yes, I think I did. Well, the cookies arrived yesterday, and she needed someone to help her sort them all out. Somehow, I volunteered for the project. It took us almost three hours to get the entire job done, and I have have a new admiration for how danged heavy a box of cookies can be after you've been working on them for that long.

     But all is well, now.

And the thin mints are worth it. [ grin ]

Getting lots done recently. I finished the final pass of "Goliath's Sling" and will get that in the mail soon I promise. Also started a new story today. Actually, I guess I started thinking through the plot yesterday. Got about a third of the way through the implementation today. With any luck I'll finish the first draft tomorrow or maybe thursday.

Then I've got a couple other thoughts I want to explore. So things are really starting to roll at this point.

I had been feeling kinda dumpy a couple weeks ago because nothing I was doing was finishing, you know? But now the ideas are flowing, and I'm seeing progress. Which always makes me feel better. Which leads to more progress. Which . . .

Look for Christopher Rowe's story in the latest issue of Realms of Fantasy. In his own words, it's another one of those stories about a slack-jawed hillbilly with superpowers!

     Have a great day.
