On top of it all, I was sick again this weekend. So, I have very little progress to announce. The good news, however, was that I took advantage of the time to read Mary Doria Russell's The Sparrow, which I thought was truly outstanding. I would write more about it, but I'm still in that afterglow of digestion.

By Sunday, I was feeling better, so Lisa and Brigid and I went and watched the Columbus Symphony Orchestra play. They had a pair of young kids as special guests--a piano soloist who was 11, and a violin soloist who was 14. Both had gone to Brigid's school a short while ago. and both were absolutely spectacular. The rest of the show was also very enjoyable.

We watched ET, the Extraterrestrial after we got home, then I read to Brigid. All in all, it was a pretty darned nice day.

Have a great day, okay?
