this is my journal ... i write it as i go ... it has typos ... it's not perfect ... but then ... neither am i ... All's Still Quiet on the Mailbox Front ... March 5, 1999 5:38 a.m.          The past couple mornings have been dedicated to doing administrative chores. I've written a response to Stan Schmidt, received the Analog contract, and asked for a little advice for how to deal with parts of it. I've written (and kinda rewritten) a biographical sketch for the Writers of the Future.      These things are things that have to be done, yes, but they can really soak up time.      So, I'm cutting this entry short to make sure I get a decent chunk of time this morning to do something productive from a wordcount perspective.               Have a great day, okay?
