I was sitting in a guy's office yesterday. He was a little late for a meeting we were scheduled to have, and I didn't have anything else to do. When we went to the Kris and Dean show last year, Lisa (the wife/copy editor, not the writer) took copious notes. I keep a copy of them in my daily planner. With time on my hands, I reached in and took them out. I scanned the first few pages, and then the next few. And then the next. Turns out, I had about twenty minutes to kill, during which time, I relived the entire K&D show. Now I know I'm not writing enough. No excuses. No whining from the gallery ("But I'm doing the best I can!"). Just the fact. I'm not writing enough to be a full-time writer, and there's only one way to remedy that. So, I'm going to go write.
