this is my journal ... i write it as i go ... it has typos ... it's not perfect ... but then ... neither am i

This has been a pretty decent morning. I focused entirely on the first seven or so pages to "1 is True, 0 False," and ignored everything else--I had several goals for this piece of the story, and while it's not as far along as I would like, I think I've made some progress.

I guess I can sum it up by saying I feel like I've sculpted the piece into the right basic shape. Tomorrow I can work out the details. If I get them right, the rest will just pour out. If not, well . . .


Congrats to Charlene Brusso, whose stories appearing in current issues of Amazing and MZB have made her eligible for active SFWA membership. Which, of course, means that she, too, now has the inalienable right to complain about who gets in and who doesn't.
