The more things stay the same the more they change, right? The latest news around here is that I'm moving my professional career in a new direction. After spending the last five years managing the development of engine control software, I'm looking into moving over to the IT side of the house. Yes, I can hear the whispers . . . "Don't go to the Dark side, Ron!" But I fear it is too late. :)

See, the problem is that I find IT stuff to be completely fascinating these days, and engines to be, well . . . engines. No offense to engines. After all, they do get us to where we're supposed to go. But when I get up in the morning, I'm more likely to be thinking about the latest business apprach of Amazon.com than I whether Cat is going to release a new 650 Hp monster.

Anyway . . . now you know the level of my dementia.

Work continues on a new story. I'm gearing up for another run at the Sweeping Story. we'll see if I can avoid botching it too completely this time. (Yes, Ron's the voice of optimism about this one, isn't he?)

Saw "Notting Hill" this weekend. I thought it was pleasantly acted on a scene-by-scene basis, but flawed from a story-telling perspective. Lisa and I talked our way through it ont he way home, and pretty well agreed on that. I won't spoil it for anyone here, by going into it, though.

     Have a great day.
