Fairly decent progress made on "1 is True...." today. However, it's not yet done, and may not even be done tomorrow. We'll see.

Among the problems was actually waking up this morning. We were up late a couple night ago, and it's still having a ripple effect. I make it on an average of about 6 hours of sleep in a night--which I can do so long as I actually get six consistently. But the price I pay is that missing even a single night, say only getting 4-and-a-half hours, can really play havoc on my cycle for days.

The cat did her part, of course.

When my alarm goes off, I always snooze once. And Rika comes running to pounce upon my chest and make certain I know she's hungry. For some cats it's the sound of a can opener. For Rika, it's the sound of Sheryl Crow coming from the radio at 4:10.

So, Rika did her normal "lay on the chest" routine for a little. Then when that didn't work, she went for the "paw at the armpit" approach, then to the "lick all hair including eyebrows" gambit. Eventually, she managed to get me up, grumbling. So, see, it's really quite easy to get up early and write--you just spend a few years training the cat, and she'll take care of everything else.

Pity me.

I lead such a tough life.

Have a great day.
