this is my journal ... i write it as i go ... it has typos ... it's not perfect ... but then ... neither am i ... crossing off the boxes ... July 23, 1999 6:53 a.m.          Like I said in an earlier entry, I've got an outline for "1 is True . . ." these days. And I'm running through it slowly but surely, crossing off the boxes as I write the scenes.      The homestretch looms before me. (Looks like I'll be able to handle that challenge, Phil [grin]).      Yeah, I'm what, two days late on my internal schedule? I'm just pleased to see it all being created. I'm writing longer these days. Not sure exactly why. But this one looks like its running something around 12,000 words right now. I'm sure I'll be able to pare it down a bit, but that's where I'm targeting what I'm once again calling the first draft.      So, it's just another day in the grind.      Making it happen.               Have a good one, and I'll see you tomorrow.
