Happy birthday to my brother, Jeff, who is 36 today. I can't believe I have a younger brother who is 36.

     Well, it's like this.

When we last left off "The Taranth Stone," I was finished with it. It had been read by folks who seemed to basically like it. I had made a few modifications to it that I thought were appropriate, and I had put it on Lisa's desk for copy edit.

The problem with having a really knowledgeable reader is that they occasionally make a whole lot of sense, right at a time when you really don't want to hear it.

Let's just say Lisa didn't like it.

Let's say she had three or four reasons why she didn't like it, and that she articulated those reasons quite clearly (i.e. so that even a dummy like myself could understand them). While we're at it, let's be explicit about the fact that she was right.

It's worse when she's right, you know?

So I scrapped my plans for the last few days, and have been focused back on "The Taranth Stone." This one may or may not be any good by the time it's done. but it's going to be "right." It's going to be consistent. It's going to flow from place to place in such a way as people are going to believe it.

After the last two days, I can see it coming together again. With luck, it will be out the door tomorrow. Otherwise, well ... it'll still be here when I come back.

     Have a good one.
