I really was planning on doing an entry yesterday, trust me on this. I was thinking of topics as I took my shower, contemplating how I might put together something really witty and pithy with just the right touch of humor. [there's always a first time, right?]

I stepped out of the shower and did all my "get ready" stuff, then merrily padded downstairs to get going.

Now, I am not the most observant of people ... just ask Lisa (the wife/copyeditor, not Lisa the friend/writer ... though I can get bad enough that even Lisa the friend/writer may have a few examples to throw out -- bring 'em all on. I can handle it). But even I would have had to be seriously zoned in order to have missed the pond that had gathered on the floor outside our bathroom ... and drained down to the basement.

     Arg.

This is where I realized that I probably wasn't going to be getting any writing done that day.

I know, I know ... where are my priorities, eh?

So we had a couple guys out, and they looked at it and ran all the water-using appliacnes in the house for a bit before deciding that nothing was wrong. Turns out we likely had a clog someplace, and my guess is that one of the things we did ourselves took care of it.

The guys will be sending us a bill, though ...

I got my act in gear today, though. Back to the Taranth Stone sequel. Movement occuring, fun stuffand all that.

And, in other areas ... I'm getting really close releasing to the next version of this place. In fact, I almost did it this morning. However, common sense prevailed. It's not quite there, yet. So, hang in there, Steve. :)

Have you considered opening a swimming pool?
