Day 13: Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th!
I always consider this my lucky day ...

     9:52 - 0 words:

I backtracked through most of the morning, adding a few bits here and there, and changing stuff to smooth out places where the new foundation showed through. I threw away about a thousand words, and added a different twist. The end result is no "new" words to add as a progress number today, but a far stronger draft--meaning, hopefully, less work to do in the second pass.

Bottom line: This is really good work, and I'm pleased with msyelf.

The best part is that I'll be back this afternoon to continue along for awhile, and we'll see what happens then.

"I know some great writers, writers you love who write beautifully and have made a great deal of money, and not one of them sits down routinely feeling wildly enthusiastic and confident. Not one of them writes elegant first drafts. All right, one of them does, but we do not like her very much."

Anne Lamott
