Day 18: Accounting Dilemma
April 18, 2001 6:58 a.m.
6,200 Words:

Life is too hectic right now.

That's all I have to say about that. Except that I'm very tired. And that it's probably not going to get better real soon. And that I'm still going to get the first draft of this book done by the end of the month.

On that front, I'm nearing the end of the stuff that I had written in the previous months. All total, I had 12,000 or so words hanging around, but I'm only claiming 6,200 of them today because all I really accomplished was the ordering and chaptering work. I still need to read through and finish the merging of the earlier work with where the story has gone since.

So, since I finished one of the two steps, I claimed half the words. I'll take the rest when I finish.

Yeah, it's a little wishy-washy, but then who really cares, right?

Come Friday--with luck--I'll be through all the older stuff and have my sights set on pushing through to the end.

Have a great day.
