The Best Feeling

Received the galleys for "K-232" which will appear in the Tekno/DAW anthology Silicon Dreams sometime soon. I think it's scheduled for December, actually. They sent the cover flat for it, which is pretty cool. I hope I never totally lose that feeling--you know, that sensation of coolness (qoolness, Vera?) that runs down your spine that instant when you see our name up there with the real writers.

I sent in a change or two, then went back to work.

The last couple days have not been good for word or page counts. Part of the problem, I must admit, is that I spent a teensy-tinsey bit of time on the short story I wrote in North Carolina. It nears completion. But mostly it has to do with the fact that I've really struggled over setting up some of the stuff that happens now.

The storyboard made it obvious that I needed a few key foundation blocks here and there.

The problem the last few days is that I hit the place where I needed support, and realized it still wasn't totally there. So I had to go back.

     I hate going back.

Still, I did it. And this morning was a major breakthrough. Things flow better now. I feel good about it, so I know I'm ready to move on. And being excited about moving on is the best feeling, you know?

     Have a great day.
