Lazy Weekend
September 9, 2001 5:52 p.m.
We've had a pretty lazy weekend when you stack it all up. Brigid did her homework, and has been reading Harry Potter for about the ninety-seventh time ... turns out that she can get several points at school for reading it, and taking a test, so she's all excited about that. Lisa got motivated this afternoon, and hit the grocery.

I was a couch potato and watched the Colts, then the Rams for a bit. Oh, I was going to cut the grass again, but it rained darnit, so there wasn't' any of that stuff going on.

We saw an old movie last night, which was nice. I hear VH-1's "Top 40 Hair Bands of all time" coming from upstairs. Guess they can't come up with 100, Lisa said when I first turned it on. Yeah, I answered. And they're really struggling down in the thirties.

At least I have managed lots of good work in the mornings, as you can see below.

Sometimes, it's nice to do nothing, you know?

"The fun part of writing for me is when the composition is done and I've revised it and I've got it pretty near right. Then you can start twiddling and polishing--get every single little word justright."
