hey... When did this happen... for once in my life, I think I might have more e-mail than my dad...

I had NO IDEA that my dad was going to do this. Thank you so much for all of your kind e-mails. I think that all of this stuff in NY is extremely sad. I'm very surprised that I haven't cried yet. I hope that all of you that can will give blood, money, clothes, items... I could go on... but really, thank you. I feel much better about my small donation.

Today my mom picked me up from school, so I didn't have to ride the bus. We went to the bank, I got out my money. Then we went to the Red Cross office in town. My parents had told me that they were going to match my donation by giving a hundred dollars each, making it two hundred from them both put together. Like some of you said to me in your e-mails, a hundred dollars doesn't seem like much, but added to what everyone else gives, it can add up to a LOT! My dad said that he thinks about twenty-nine billion can be made by all of the American people. I think that even more can be made if people are determined to help. (Bill Gates, are you listening?)

I used to be a Girl Scout, and every meeting, we would say the Girl Scout Promise, and then the Girl Scout law. One of the lines in there is "...to help where I am needed...." I wasn't exactly thinking about being a good Girl Scout at the time, but it has been pointed out to me that I was.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I hope that everyone who can will give as much as possible to help the people in NY, and everywhere else.
