I think the cat has had it worst of all.

She likes to go out on our back porch, and for the first couple days after the storm she couldn't go out there because all the screens were torn up. But I finally got out the duct tape and patched things enough that she's okay out there. Now, of course, it's gotten cold.

I have now, I think, completed all short story work I have to complete. Old stories are in the mail, new manuscripts are on Lisa's (the copyeditor/wife, not the writer/friend) desk. And I've gotten a little straightening up finished this morning. This means I no longer have any convenient excuses to ignore the novel. [very sheepish grin].

So I guess I start back on it first thing tomorrow.

     Have a great day.
