Time Distance

If there's one thing I learned before that has carried on, it's that you need to work on something while it's burning brightest in your mind. With that entry sentence, let me report that I did not finish a fresh story yesterday, as I mentioned I might.

Instead, I'm still having fun picking out older stories that I liked and working on them, so I'm doing that while the iron is hot. Most of my old material that hasn't sold will never rise above the scrap heap--its trunk-city in those files. But I've looked at my inventory and I've found a few that I think have merit.

These stories hold some intrigue. They challenge me. Why did they not sell? So, with the benefit of time-distance, I'm digging through them.

It's good, I think.

And in the end, I'm having fun. Which is very nice, indeed.

Have a great day.
