Kat Howard is one of the most interesting new writers around. I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel with her up in Detroit. I had a great time, of course, and along the way I came to the conclusion that she’s just a really impressive person. I had read a few things from her, but I hadn’t heard/read her first publication (which is a short story titled “A Life in Fictions,” which was purchased by none other than Neil Gaiman and later reprinted in Apex magazine).
I happened to come upon it while searching for something to listen to earlier today while I was walking to the health club … and well, it’s a very cool study in identity that’s worth the few minutes it’ll take to read.
Highly recommended.
