So, yeah. I’m happy to note that Choices, the latest of Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar anthologies, is now available. It’s another great collection of stories that any fan of the Valdemar world will love, and that people who just enjoy a complex fantasy world will find enticing. Be warned, though. There’s a lot of Valdemar out there to explore. [evil grin]
My own story is Confounding, Enduring, Perfect, and Strong.. It’s my fifth tale in the Valdemar world, and once again follows Nwah (a kyree, which is a species you might envision as part wolf, part cheetah) and her mind-linked human partner, Kade as they make their way into a world they don’t yet understand. Both have gifts, Kade in the healing arts, Nwah in the realm of magic—yet neither are trained.
Troubles ensue.
