Holly and the Viscount: (Holiday Spectacular Story #24)

As noted here, I’m commenting daily on the WMG Holiday Spectacular—which is a great project that releases a story every day. These might be reviews. Or not. They might be interesting. Or … um … not. They will be fun, though. For me, at least.

Here’s the next story.

“Holly and the Viscount”
Anthea Lawson

For me to enjoy a Regency romance, I have to be able to throw myself wholly into the moment. I admit that sometimes this is harder than others, especially in short fiction where real estate is limited and where both relationships and setting must still be made deep.

Luckily, “Holly and the Viscount” is written by Anthea Lawson and Anthea Lawson is, simply put, a remarkably good writer.

It’s hard not to fall in love with these characters as they twist their ways though the tasty moments of the plotline, and it’s hard not smile by the end. Along the way maybe you’ll learn a little about Christmas traditions, or maybe you won’t, but in the end it won’t matter. It’s just a fun little read, you know?

I will give this warning, though, if you are a romance reader and for some reason haven’t read Anthea’s work before, you should be prepared to have an unquenchable thirst for the rest of it.

Yeah, I know. Some warning.

You can thank me later.

Highly recommended.
